Mulch-tastic Sunday!

FYI to all you gardeners out there:

> At long last:
>
>
>
> Jaws, the Hoyt Street Association's chipper/shredder,
> will be out on Sunday, July 12 to shred your dry leaves,
> twigs, vines, branches (max 1.5" diameter), etc. into a
> fine mulch. The mulch will not only help make your gardens
> and street trees more beautiful but will also leave a little
> more room in the NYC landfills for real garbage. The
> upcoming session is:
>
>
>
>
> Sunday, July 12 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
>
> David Foulke Memorial Garden (Bergen, just west of Nevins)
>
>
>
> Please be sure to bring a bag or other container to take
> your mulch home. Jaws will be out at least one more time
> this summer. For future events, keep an eye out for the
> blue signs on neighborhood bulletin boards that proclaim:
> "Shred, shred, chip, chip, Repeat". Call Craig
> Fithian at 718-802-9376 or see the FAQ in the Greening
> Section (search for "Jaws") of the Boerum Hill
> Association website, http://www.boerumhillbrooklyn.org/,
> for more information.
>
>
>
>
>
>
> PS: If you are interested in learning to operate Jaws,
> please contact me. With a few people to share the
> workload, we can have more frequent Shredding Days.

Special thanks to the Hill Boerumhill Egroup for letting us know about this!
